Lillie Smith Carwile

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Smith Carwile, 92, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 P.M. - 8 P. M., and on Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at her residence. She was born February 3, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harrison Smith and Ethel Spivey Smith. On July 5, 1941 in Lafayette, GA, she was married to the late Lloyd Carwile, who passed away October 6, 2010. She was a homemaker who loved God and her family. She was a member of the Fairview Free Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Judy Carwile Smith; 1 Sister: Vivian Smith Stafford; and 2 Brothers: James Smith and Jeff Smith. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jack (Brenda) Carwile and Jerrold "Jerry" Carwile, all of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Donna (Stephen) York of Cookeville, TN, Tammy (Lance) Campbell of Panama City, FL, Ginger Carwile and Jill Buck, both of Gainesboro, TN, and Johnny Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 11 Great Grandchildren: Tyler, Austin, Bronson, and Connor York; Grayson, Riley, and Colin Campbell; Jessica Smith; Cody, Katie, and Kyle Buck; 1 Great Great Granddaughter: Kaykelynn York; Special Nephew: Donnie Smith; and Special Cousin: Susie Lawson Burgess.
