Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Wayne Allen, 45, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, June 1, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Allen passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born February 19, 1964, in Jackson County, TN, to Carl F. Allen and Ann Allen. He was a masonry laborer. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Lewis K. and Betty Ann Gipson Allen; and his Maternal Grandparents: Clyde and Judy Goolsby Hamlet. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Tabitha (Steven) Crawley of Cookeville, TN, and Kayla Allen of Gainesboro, TN; his Parents: Carl F. Allen and Ann Allen, of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Austin and Destiny Crawley; 1 Sister: Lisa (Michael) Hammock of Livingston, TN; 1 Niece: Sarah Hammock; and his Special Friend: Vera Anderson. Several uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
