Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Martin, Jr., 87, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at NHC Healthcare Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born May 19, 1927, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lewis Martin, Sr. and Mary Belle Mayberry Martin. On January 25, 1949, he was married to Agnes Loftis Martin, who survives. He was a factory worker at Dacco, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Carolyn and Johnnie Long; 2 Brothers: Billy H. and Hollis Ray Martin; and 3 Sisters: Aline Chaffin, Ida Spurlock, and Mary Jean Mabry. Survivors include his Wife: Agnes Loftis Martin of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Reba (Charles) Hopkins of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters-in-Law: Clella Martin and Doris Martin, both of Gainesboro, TN.
