Lewis Edward Wheeler

Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Edward Wheeler, 61, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Sycamore Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. Burial will follow in the Netherland Cemetery in Overton County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday at the church from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Wheeler passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his residence in Cookeville, TN. He was born July 25, 1947, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Daniel C. and Mary Ethel Flatt Wheeler. On March 17, 1972, he was married to Roslyn Fox Wheeler, who survives. He was a building contractor, and a member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Willie D. Wheeler, Earl Douglas Wheeler, Martin Truman Wheeler, and Dow Julian Wheeler; and 1 Sister: Vera Reels Swallows. Survivors include his Wife: Roslyn Fox Wheeler of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son: Ashley L. Wheeler of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Sonya and Jason Anderson of Cookeville, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Ashton Wheeler, Austin Wheeler, Dale Anderson, Lilly Anderson, and Ella Anderson; 3 Brothers: James Carl Wheeler of Missouri; Mack Earnest (Faye) Wheeler of Lynnville, TN; and Garland Dee (Wilma) Wheeler of Cookeville, TN; and 4 Sisters: Thelma (James) Clark of Portland, TN, Clella Marie (Paul) Wright of Cookeville, TN, Mary Goolsby of Cookeville, TN, and Mae Stults of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson, Bro. David Flatt, and Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
