Funeral services for Mr. Lewis A. Heinrich, 86, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, October 10, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Private interment will follow at a later time at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M. and Tuesday from 12 noon until time of services at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Heinrich passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2006, at his residence in Gainesboro, Tennessee. He was born March 25, 1920, in Au Gres, Michigan, to the late George Heinrich & Kathryn Urich Heinrich. On November 21, 1942, he was married to the late Dorothy M. Heinrich, who passed away August 21, 2003. He was a Lutheran by faith and a member of the Rotary Club. He was a loving husband and caring father and started the first Boy Scout Troop in Gainesboro. He served as an alderman and in various other posts in the city of Gainesboro. Mr. Heinrich was a Little League coach and played on the Mohawk Softball team. He was an avid golfer and worker of crossword puzzles. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy M. Heinrich; his parents: George Heinrich and Kathryn Urich Heinrich; 1 Son: Rick Heinrich; 1 Grandson: Will Heinrich; 2 Brothers: George Heinrich, Sr. and Bernard Heinrich; and 4 Sisters: Millie, Lola, Jacklyn, and Marie. Survivors include 3 Sons: George Kelly (Brenda) Heinrich of Hendersonville, TN, William Scott (Claire) Heinrich, and Jon Patrick (Sandy) Heinrich, all of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Dustin, Kurt, Meg, Emily, Angie, Casey, and Bonnie; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Ivy, Lucy, and Peyton; 1 Brother: John Heinrich of Michigan; and 3 Sisters: Doris Zellhart and Annie Hawkins, both of California, and Isabelle Brandell of Nevada. Rev. Wm. Russell Cain will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church, Lazarus House Hospice, or the charity of your choice by contacting Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
