Funeral services for Lester Fred Allen, 56, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Dodson Branch Cemetery in the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 11, 1956, in Jackson County, TN, to Ivory Allen and the late Dow Morgan Allen. He was a vinyl siding and window installer. Survivors include 1 Son: Brian (Erin) Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Melissa (Matthew) Clevenger of Gainesboro, TN; his Mother: Ivory Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Granddaughters: Tiffany Kirby and Layla Allen; 1 Brother: Jimmy Allen of Illinois; 1 Sister-in-Law: Tina Allen of Illinois; and 3 Nieces: Angie Allen, Rachael Thyne, and Katelyn Allen, all of Illinois.
