Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Anthony Angel, 89, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rash Cemetery in the Antioch community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services.. He passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN. He was born December 28, 1920, in Detroit, MI, to the late Anthony Alfonce Angel and Teresa Rosalie Dumbrow Angel. On September 1, 1961, he was married to the late Mary L. Angel, who passed away October 21, 2008. He was a real estate agent and former owner of the Bakers Dozen in Gainesboro, TN. He was of the Catholic faith, and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Arnold and Betty Angel; and 2 Sons: Daniel Phillips and David Phillips. Survivors include 1 Son: Leonard Anthony Angel, Jr. of MI; 1 Daughter: Lynne A. (Rickey) Flournoy of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Rickey Flournoy II, Anthony Flournoy, Melissa Flournoy, Jody Buelher, Maryanne Phillips, and Angela Phillips; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Takoda Flournoy, Caiti Buelher, and Jaxson Flournoy; 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Emil and Doris Angel of Bokiela, FL; 2 Nieces: Karen Preston and Cathy Ireland; and 1 Nephew: Michael Angel.
