Funeral services for Leo Loftis, 83, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at The Palace at Red BoIling Springs, TN. He was born October 12, 1929 in Gainesboro, TN to the late Herod and Flossie B. Stafford Loftis. He was married to the late Martha Smith Loftis. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a metal finisher in the automotive industry. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: John McCartt and 6 Brothers. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Lisa Seals and Crystal Loftis, both of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Jonathan and Brandon McCartt and Nichole Pelkey; 6 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: J.L. Loftis and Herod "Whitey" Loftis, Jr., both of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Sisters: Agnes Martin of Gainesboro, TN; Lucille Mansell of Cookeville, TN; and Betty Heady of Lebanon, TN Bro.
