Funeral services for Mr. Leeford A. Spell, Jr. 75, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 8 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016, at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born December 31, 1940, in Clinton, NC, to the late Leeford Archie Spell and Vianna Dudley Spell. He was married to the late Edna Williams Spell, who passed away on February 28, 2015. He was a construction laborer. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Fleecy Spell Bishop and Minnie Spell Hewitt; and 5 Brothers: Fleetrose Spell, Simon Spell, Junior Spell, Willie Hall and Henry Hall. Survivors include 1 Sister: Doris Hall Bass of Clinton, NC and 12 nieces and nephews. Rev. Billy Haney will officiate at the services.
