Leatrice J. Hampton

Funeral services for Mrs. Leatrice J. Hampton, 76, of the Dudneys Hill community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Hampton passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009, at her residence. She was born January 13, 1933, in McLeansboro, IL, to the late Harlan Southard and Gladys B. Smith Southard. On March 14, 1950, she was married to Henry M. Hampton, who survives. She was a hairdresser, and a member of the Church of God of Anderson, IN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Sharon Dae Milligan. Survivors include her Husband: Henry M. Hampton of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Brenda Kay (Dan) Golden of Murfreesboro, TN, Debra (William) Nielson of Cary, IL, and Wende (Mitchell) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Brothers: Terry D. Southard of Chicago, IL, and Lonnie Ray Southard of Chicago, IL; 5 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
