Funeral services for Mr. L.C. Moody, 78, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, August 7, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Overton County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Moody passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born May 18, 1931, in Overton County, TN, to the late Lannie and Lilly Ray Moody. On February 27, 1968, he was married to Maidy Moody, who survives. He was a factory worker at Dacco, and a member of the Fairview Free Methodist Church in the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Bobby and Jerry Moody. Survivors include his Wife: Maidy Moody of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Nicki (Seth) McMasters of Newport, RI; 1 Grandson: Gabriel Evan McMasters of Newport, RI; 2 Sisters: Fay (Dewey) Rector of Cookeville, TN, and Elsie (Roosevelt) Crawford of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Bonnie Moody of Overton County, TN.
