Funeral services for Mrs. Lavernia Mai Wilson, 66, of Hilham, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Cubb Creek Cemetery in the Cubb Creek Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born May 23, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Howard Clifton and Lillie Pearl Sircy Duke. She was married to the late Charles Wilson. She was retired from General Telephone Company. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents: Bedford and Louise Holmes Duke; and her Maternal Grandparents: Roy Arthur and Della Ramsey Sircy. Survivors include 1 Son: Jerry Lee Goodman of Baxter, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Erika and Brandon Goodman; 2 Brothers: Lloyd (Sarah) Duke of Knoxville, TN, and Floyd Ray Duke of Lebanon, TN; and 4 Sisters: Judy (Mike) Morris of Ashland City, TN, Wanda Smith of Huntsville, AL, Nina Dunn of Cookeville, TN, and Brenda Migliore of Cookeville, TN.
