Funeral services for Laura Ruth Grogan, 51, of the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 12 Noon at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Burris Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at her residence. She was born May 24, 1969, in Gainesboro, TN, to Wanda Cooper Alexander and the late Harold Eugene Kinnaird. On December 9, 2000, she was married to Johnnie Grogan, who survives. She was a homemaker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents: Gilbert and Claudie Kinnaird; Maternal Grandparents: Elvis and Ruth Cooper; Aunts and Uncles: Finnis Kinnaird, Louise Allen, Glen Kinnaird, Geneva Ayers, Inell Edwards, James Kinnaird, Earl Bean, Mary Young, and Elfrida Farley. Survivors include her Husband: Johnnie Grogan of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Elizabeth Paige Grogan and Allison Leah Grogan, both of Cookeville, TN; her Mother: Wanda Cooper Alexander; 1 Brother: Travis Fox of Sparta, TN; 2 Sisters: Lora Hicks of Cookeville and Jackie Sexton of Nashville, TN; 4 Aunts: Kathy Knight, Irene Gore, Mary Bean and Thelma Ryan; and Special Friends: Jennifer Parks, Scott and Renee Dillahunty. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Dale Crossman will officiate at the services.
