Funeral services for Mr. Larry Steven Petty, Sr., 62, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 9, 1951, in Wayne County, MI, to the late Lyman Petty and Dorothy Young Petty. He was a Chrysler factory worker. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the Mother of his children: Geraldine Diane Petty. Survivors include his Fiance: Opal Robinson of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Michael (Maria) Petty of Taylor, MI, Larry Petty, Jr. of Riverview, FL, and Shannon Petty of Ecorse, MI; 7 Grandchildren: Haily Petty, Christopher Petty, Katelynn Petty, Faith Elizabeth Petty, Matthew Steven Petty, Daphene Petty; 2 Brothers: Kenny (Marie) Petty of Nunnelly, TN, and David (Debbie) Petty of Lebanon, TN; and 3 Sisters: Brenda (Charles) Ciuffini of Hendersonville, TN, Trish Petty and partner, Mary Ann Petty of Madison, TN, and Tina (Darrell) Isabell of Cross Plains, TN.
