Funeral services for Larry R. Hix, 65, of the Big Bottom community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1954, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dewey Hix and Mary Odell Warden Hix. He was a plumber and pipefitter, and also a welder. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Helen Louise Browning and Jeweldean Carrico; and Half Sister: Ovell Kinnard. Survivors include 4 Brothers: James (Ova) Hix of Indianapolis, IN, Charlie A. (Pat) Hix of Whitleyville, TN, Bobby E. Hix of Gainesboro, TN, and Gary M. (Veda) Hix of Red Boiling Springs, TN; and 4 Sisters: Edna Sue Smith of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Barbara Jean (Harding) Smith of Cookeville, TN, Donna (Bobby) Poteet of Gainesboro, TN, and Deborah Kay (Terry) Holman of Murfreesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Duane Gossett and Bro. Shan Dozier will officiate at the services.
