Funeral services for Larry “Preacher” Hopkins, Sr., 61, of Baxter, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020, at his residence. He was born April 17, 1959, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Marion Thomas Hopkins and Betty Jean Welch Hopkins. He was a truck driver, and a member of the OOIDA Group. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Jarrett Hopkins; and Daisy. Survivors include 1 Son: Larry Hopkins, Jr. of Baxter, TN; his Friend: Helen; 1 Brother: Robert (Pat) Hopkins of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Joann (Danny) Garrison and Gail (Gerald) Meadows, all of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Dawson Thomas Hopkins, Thomas Hopkins, Logan Jones, and Jackson Jones; and Special Family: Rita Barlow and Alesia Bybee. Bro. Sam Mainord will officiate at the services.
