Funeral services for Mr. Larry K. Scott, Sr., 61, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. Mr. Scott passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007, at the Newberry County Hospital in Newberry, S.C. He was born May 31, 1945, in St. Petersburg, FL, to the late Charles Franklin Scott and Edna Lee Smith Scott. On September 4, 1964, he was married to Carolyn Scott, who survives. He was a nuclear engineer, and served in the U.S. Army First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his wife: Carolyn Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Larry Keith (Tammy) Scott, Jr. of Lancaster, S.C., and Kenneth Lee (Stacy) Scott of Greenwood, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Sean Hensel, Nicole St. Claire, Christopher Scott, Ashley Scott, and Brandon Scott; and 1 Great - Grandchild: Camryn Morgan. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Scott's memory to Friends of Animals, Jackson County Chapter.
