Larry Dodson

Larry Wayne Dodson was born August 22, 1943 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his residence in Gainesboro at the age of 81.

Larry was the son of Charlie E. Dodson and Vera Hix Dodson.  He was a retired business owner and a resident of the Hurricane Community.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tonya Dodson;  brother, Bill Frank Dodson; and sister, Sandra Tatar.

Survivors include his son, Tim (Wanda) Dodson of Gainesboro, grandchildren, Tyler (Kayla) Dodson, Tanner Dodson, Trenton Dodson and Keisha Birdwell; great grandchild, Cohen Dodson; family friend, Alice Barlow of Gainesboro and special friend Nancy Dice. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Sunday,  January 21, 2024 beginning at 4 pm until 8 pm and Monday, 9 am to 1 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 1 pm in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.
