Funeral services for Landon Lee Kernea, 12, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at his residence. He was born April 13, 2006, in Bay County, FL, to Chris Kernea and Fran Kernea. He was a Jackson County school student. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers: Al Kernea and Charles Lee. Survivors include his Father: Chris Kernea of Gainesboro, TN; his Mother: Fran Kernea of Cookeville, TN; his Step-Father: Kevin Wagner of Cookeville, TN; Grandmothers: Verletta Jewel Lee of Bowling Green, KY, Anne Kernea of Chattanooga, TN, and Cindy Kernea of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Jessica Leighanne Kernea of Knoxville, TN; and 2 Step-Sisters: Kristen and Emily Wagner of Cookeville, TN. Several uncles, aunts, numerous cousins, and many friends also survive. Matthew Scoggins and Randy Heady will officiate at the services.
