Kennith Wayne Howell

Kennith “Wayne” Howell was born September 2, 1941 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his residence at the age of 81.

He was the son of the late Clester Mell Howell and Wilma D. Minchey Howell. On September 15, 1973, he was married to Linda Faye Copeland Howell, who survives. He worked in the administrative field and also served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Daughter-in-Law: Eleanor Megan Howell; Brothers: Jimmy Richard Howell and W.C. Howell; Sister-in-Laws: Carol Howell and Moline Howell. 

Survivors include his Wife: Linda Faye Howell of Jackson County, TN; Son: Anthony Wayne Howell of Shiloh Community of Jackson County; Daughters: Teresa Lynn (Shane Reed) of Lebanon and Heather (Keith) Bean of Jackson County; Brothers: Larry (Elizabeth) Howell  and Bruce (Cathy) Howell  both of Gainesboro; Sister: Shirley (Robert) Smith of Gainesboro; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2023, at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Russell Swallows officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Gilead Cemetery in Overton County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Monday from 1 P.M. until time of services.
