Kenneth "Jack" Mahaney

Funeral services for Kenneth Earl Mahaney, better known as “Jack”, 86, of the Free State community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Mahaney Family Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James William “Jim” Mahaney and Martha Elizabeth Brown Mahaney. On March 28, 1964, he was married to Edna Sue Mahaney, who survives. He was a factory worker, and a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Earl Mahaney; 1 Daughter: Brenda Kay Mahaney Jared; 7 Brothers: Comer, Homer, Lester B., Earnest, John D., George, and Jim Ed Mahaney; and 1 Sister: Willie Mae Mabry. Survivors include his Wife: Edna Sue Mahaney of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Garry (Carolyn) Mahaney of Carthage, TN, and Jerry Mahaney of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Stella Jean (Dennis) Mahaney Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Mildred Allen of Gainesboro, TN; Grandchildren: Keith Mahaney, Kendra Angel, Corey Mahaney, Lesley Williams, Lindsey Mahaney, Andy Stafford, and Michelle Flynt; and Great Grandchildren: Brent Angel, Isaiah Angel, Spencer Stafford, Piper Stafford, Maizie Mahaney, Carter Williams, Cooper Williams, Jorja Flynt, and Grayson Flynt. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Jerry Lee Ridge will officiate at the services. Memorial donations can be made to the Mahaney Family Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
