Ken Flatt

Funeral services for Mr. Ken Flatt, 85, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Sam Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Hwy. in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. to 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born January 17, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Haskell and Bulah Lambert Flatt. On January 16, 1954, he was married to Juanita Flatt, who survives. He was a glass cutter at Ford Motor Company and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Jimmy Kenneth Flatt. Survivors include his Wife: Juanita Flatt of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son: Mike (Cindy) Flatt of Old Hickory, TN; 1 Grandchild: Will Richardson of Antioch, TN; 1 Brother: Harold (Evelyn) Flatt of Cookeville, TN; and 3 Sisters: Emogene Birdwell of Cookeville, TN, Jewell (Bobby) McCaleb of Cookeville, TN, and Joyce (Herman) Pippin of Bloomington Springs, TN. Bro. Mike Webb will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sam Flatt Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
