Kathren Tate Bakewell

Funeral services for Kathren Tate Bakewell, 78, of Spencer, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Generations of Spencer. She was born December 23, 1940, in Perry County, KY, to the late Pearl Cornett and Maggie Mae Cornett. She was married to the late John David Bakewell. She was a factory worker, and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Paul Cornett; and 3 Sisters: Clara Blair, Bertha Vaughn, and Eartha Jones. Survivors include 4 Daughters: Debbie (Glen) Ramsey of Cookeville, TN, Karen Amanda (Chris) Parsons of Taylor, MI, Brenda (Mike) Dice of Taylor, MI, and Linda (Russell) Sigler of Westland, MI; 1 Brother: John Henry Cornett; 5 Sisters: Elva Lee Russell, Jeanette Gray, Naomi Nash, Alma Jean Barrett, and Brenda Faye Schmoldt; 10 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren.
