Kathlean Flatt

Funeral services for Mrs. Kathlean Flatt, 80, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sam Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born December 6, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James C. West and Gladys Hawkins West. In 1947, she was married to the late Bernice Flatt. She worked for UCHRA, and was affiliated with the Gainesboro Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Sons: Merlin, Tommy, Dale, James, and Larry Flatt; 1 Infant Daughter: Marie Flatt; 3 Sisters: Bobbie Sue Denton, Peggy Ann Knofski, and Mary Kidd; 1 Brother: Joe West; and 1 Granddaughter: Heather Flatt. Survivors include 1 Son: Bruce Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Carolyn (Robert) West of Bloomington Springs, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Shanna Pippin, Misti Greer, Christopher Flatt, Tommy Wayne Flatt, Shane Flatt, Heath Flatt, Amber Halliburton, and Chad Flatt; Several Great Grandchildren; and 2 Brothers: Robert West of Gainesboro, TN, and Ray Douglas West of Ohio.
