Funeral services for Katherine Mayberry, 89, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020, at 11 A.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born March 25, 1931, in Clay County, TN, to the late George Phillips and Martha Swann Phillips. On June 24, 1956, she was married to the late Ernest “Jam-Up” Mayberry. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Camp Road Church of Christ in Bloomington Springs, and also the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include 1 Son: Gail “Little Jam-Up” (Glenda) Mayberry of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Daughters: Sheila (Robert) Griest, Geneva (Mike) Cantrell, Ruby Mayberry, and Rose (Roger Dale) Meadows, all of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that visitors please wear face masks.
