June West

June West was born June 1, 1940, in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at AHC Mt. Juliet at the age of 82.

She was the daughter of the late Sam A. Pharris and Lona Belle Stafford Pharris. She was retired, and a member of the West View Baptist Church. She was a resident of Cookeville, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Brothers: Doyle, Joe, Fred, Willis, and Clarence Pharris.

Survivors include her Sons: Billy J. (Sheila) Anderson of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Daniel West, Jr. of Ashland City, TN; Brothers: Charles (Nancy) Edward Pharris of Smyrna, TN, and Billy Pharris of Oklahoma City, OK; Sisters: Betty Pharris and Linda Williams, both of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Adam (Emily) West, Cory West, and Eli (Lauren) West; and Great Grandchildren: Azlyn West and Emi West.

June was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family, friends a being of service to others. Going to Gatlinburg was one of her favorite activities. She loved music, seeing Rod Stewart in concert this last year was one of her favorite memories. Over and over, in her last days she kept saying, “I’ve been blessed.” Everyone that knew her also felt blessed to have her in their life.

The family has chosen cremation, with a Celebration of Life service to be held at West View Baptist Church, 427 Laurel Avenue, Cookeville on May 27th at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Westview Baptist Church’s Clothing Closet & Food Pantry.
