Judy Carol Hedgecough

Judy Carol Strahin-Hedgecough, age 65, of Baxter, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 7:26 am at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 19, 1960, Judy was known by all who loved her for her adventurous spirit, her creativity in crafting, and her generous heart. She had a lifelong passion for caring for animals and frequently rescued and nursed malnourished pets back to health, offering them the love and care they deserved.

She is survived by her father, Ralph Strahin; her daughter, Danielle (Joey) Williams; her brother, Timmy Strahin; her sister, Susan Benton; grandchildren: Johnny (Emalee McCallister) and Luke Allen Williams; special friend: David H Beix along with a host of nieces, and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leora “Tincy” Strahin, and her brother, Kenny Strahin.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4 pm until 6 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, Tennessee.  The Celebration of Life will be held at 6 pm with Pastor Steve Tiebout officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
