Joyce Rose Mayberry

Joyce Rose Johnson Mayberry was born May 22, 1942 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at St Thomas Dekalb Hospital in Smithville at the age of 82.

She was the daughter of Lattie Lee Johnson and Laura Pearl Whiteaker Johnson.  She worked for Oster Corporation and Carrier Corporation in McMinnville.  She was a resident of Smithville, TN and a member of the Westwood Church of Christ in McMinnville.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Earl Mayberry who passed away January 28, 2008; son, Howard Earl Mayberry; daughter, Patricia Rose Fisher; sisters, Thelma Willine Johnson, Mary Frances Davidson, Beatrice Spurlock, and Virginia Dare Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Edward Lee "Renee" Mayberry of Wilmington, NC; daughter in law Shirley Mayberry of Smithville; son in law Terry Fisher of Hendersonville; former daughter in law, Janie Mayberry of McMinnville, TN; brother, Herbert Lee (Delma) Johnson of Clearwater, FL; sister, Lorea Brown of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Keith "Dawn" Lett, Matthew H. (Morgan) Mayberry, Mark E. Mayberry, Jessica Mayberry, Constance Mayberry, Amanda Dixon, Adrianna Mayberry and James Teuteberg; 13 great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services and internment will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Pharris Cemetery beginning at 2 pm with Bro. Mike Fox officiating.
