Joyce Goolsby

Joyce Ann Goolsby was born September 22, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN and she passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the age of 88.

Joyce was the daughter of Harry G. and Betty Wilson.  She was a retired factory worker and a member of the Church of God. She wsa a resident of the Tinsley's Bottom Community.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Malcolm Goolsby who passed away on February 10, 2021; son, Bill Goolsby; brother, Sonny Wilson; sister, Jeanette Elkins; grandchildren, Casey Goolsby and Jason Goolsby and her dog, Digger.

Survivors include her son Danny Goolsby of Celina; daughters, Betty Dailey of Celina, Barbara West of Allons and Sharon Keith of Gainesboro; daughter-in-law, Linda Goolsby of Gainesboro; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren also survive along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 24, 2023, 4-8 pm and again on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, 9 am to 12 noon.  Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Lakelan Barham officiating.  Burial will follow in Doc Hall Cemetery in Clay County.
