Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Carmack, 72, of Hilham, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Sunday from 11 A. M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born March 18, 1939, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Mate Allen and Allene Mayberry Allen Strode. She was married to Willard Carmack, who survives. She was a housewife, and a member of the New Hope Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Floyd (Red) Allen. Survivors include her Husband: Willard Carmack of Hilham, TN; 1 Son: Wayne and wife, Sue Carmack of Lebanon, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna and husband, Glen Smith of Hilham, TN; 1 Brother: Loyd Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Deloise Maynard of Cookeville, TN; her Special Caretaker: Rhonda Capps of Livingston, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Shannon (Mark) Hambridge of Livingston, TN; Tiffany (Jeremy) Mansell of Hilham, TN; Jennifer Taylor, Candie Randolph, and Joey Carmack, all of Lebanon, TN; and 10 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Phillip Morgan and Bro. Mike Ayers will officiate at the services.
