Funeral services for Joyce Ann Thomason, 73, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pigg Family Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 23, 1947, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Lee Pigg and Lena Liza Young Pigg. She was married to the late John Edward Thomason. She was a housewife, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Grandchildren: Caitlin Brooke Thomason and Abbiegail Hope Thomason; Brother: Herbert Willard Pigg; and Son-in-Law: Joe Christopher Scott. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Renea Scott of Hilham, TN, and Connie Strong of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: John (Andrea) Thomason II and Jason Thomason of Gainesboro, TN; ; 1 Sister: Jill Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; and Special Friend: Edward Ryan of Gainesboro, TN. 18 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
