Joy "Cogie" Hensley

Graveside services for Mrs. Joy Clorene "Cogie" Hensley, 76, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at her residence. She was born December 18, 1939, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harvey Loftis and Icie Ballard Loftis. On March 18, 1960, she was married to the late Dallas Hensley, who passed away June 28, 1978. She was a factory worker at Nielsen, and was affiliated with the church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Clyde Loftis, U.L. Loftis, Albert Ray Loftis, and Roger Loftis; and 3 Sisters: Vio Swope, Sue Loftis, and Daffo Hambright. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Joy Hensley of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Ronnie (Judy) Loftis of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Dora Gentry of Cookeville, TN, and Maymie Allen of Bloomington Springs, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Jean Loftis of Gainesboro, TN.
