Joy Chaffin Dennis

Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Chaffin Dennis, 66, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rash Cemetery in the Antioch community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Dennis passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born November 10, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lewis Edgbert and Lyda Anderson Chaffin. She was an employee of Bethesda Health Care Center, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Davis A. Chaffin. Survivors include 1 Son: Freddie (Ellen) Dennis of Hilham, TN; 2 Daughters: Jonita (Mark) Taylor of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Diane Dennis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Grandson: Ryan (Jenn) Taylor of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Brother: Donald (Judy) Chaffin of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Sue Chaffin of Baxter, TN. 2 Aunts, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Bobby Bartlett and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joy Chaffin Dennis family by contacting the funeral home.
