Funeral services for Johnny Ray Stafford, 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, TN. He was born November 21, 1940, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Herbie Stafford and Lillie Wheeler Stafford. He was a farmer, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Sisters: Jettie Garrison, Mary Smith, Lucille Wilson, and Jamie Stafford Hammons; and 1 Brother: Vestel Stafford. Survivors include 1 Brother: David Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Nephew: Melvin Hammons of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Alan Judd will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stafford family by contacting the funeral home.
