Johnny L. Ellis

Funeral services for Johnny L. Ellis, 39, of Hilham, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Berry Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born February 25, 1972, in Jackson County, TN, to Frances Ellis and the late Howard L. Ellis. On February 14, 2000, he was married to Karen Ellis, who survives. He was a machinist, and was affiliated with the Church of God. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Clayton Ellis and Louise Neal; and his Maternal Grandparents: Willie and Willie Lynn Stacy. Survivors include his Wife: Karen Ellis of Lafayette, TN; 1 Daughter: Lauren Ashley Ellis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step- Daughter: Brandy Stafford of Red Boiling Springs, TN; his Mother: Frances Ellis of Hilham, TN; 2 Brothers: Jamie (Kristi) Ellis of Gainesboro, TN, and Jeff (Vicky) Ellis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Niece: Brittany Ellis; and 2 Step-Grandchildren: Hailey and Alley Stafford. Sis. Joy Langford and Pastor Edward Todd will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Ellis family by contacting the funeral home.
