Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Irene Spell, 74, of Sparta, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at NHC of Sparta, TN. She was born December 19, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Elvis Clinton and Bertha Garrison Clinton. She was a factory worker, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: George Willard Haney; 1 Daughter: Vickie Diane Haney; her Second Husband: Thurman "Duck" Lane; 2 Grandchildren: Timothy Lambert and David Lee Birdwell; 2 Brothers: Dave Clinton and James Clinton; and 1 Sister: Bonnie Clinton. Survivors include 2 Sons: Mike (Elicia) Haney of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Josh (Theresa) Lane of Sparta, TN; 4 Daughters: Brenda Tatrow of McMinnville, TN, Rhonda Birdwell of Bloomington Springs, TN, Patricia Abner of Gainesboro, TN, and Linda (Lyn) Scruggs of McMinnville, TN; 2 Brothers: Rod (Paulette) Clinton of Cookeville, TN, and Harvey (Annette) Clinton of Hohenwald, TN; 4 Sisters: Mildred (Gary) Smith of Cookeville, TN, Wilma Scott of Cookeville, TN, Lisa (Mike) Maybery of Cookeville, TN, and Mary (Joe) Allen of Cookeville, TN; 17 Grandchildren; and 18 Great Grandchildren.
