Johnnie Ballard

Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Ballard, 68, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P. M. - 9 P. M., Monday from 12 noon - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Ballard passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born October 10, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Layton and Ova Hensley Ballard. In September of 1961, he was married to the late Elise Anderson Ballard. He was a vinyl siding installer. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ at Freewill. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Joe, Fred, Mitchell, Encil, and Cecil Ballard; and 2 Sisters: Ova Jane Anderson and Willie Ballard. Survivors include 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Linda Coffey of Ft. Worth, TX, and Lisa and Kevin Culling of Murfreesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Lacey Mathis, Ross Culling, and Hunter Culling; 1 Great - Grandchild: Avery Mathis; 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters-in-Law: Burt and Viria Ballard, and Hollis and Jean Ballard, all of Roseville, MI, B. Ballard of Cookeville, TN, and Jack and Pauline Ballard of Baxter, TN; and 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: Marie and Billy Martin of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Wayne Crossman will officiate at the services.
