Funeral services for Mr. John Walter Sprague, 68, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 7 P.M. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. - 7 P.M. Mr. Sprague passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2009, at his residence. He was born October 27, 1940, in Wheaton, Missouri, to the late Edgar Basil and Helen Sanders Sprague. He was a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Butch Sprague. Survivors include his Wife: Cortina Sprague of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Betty Reitz, of California and Lanai Richardson of the North Springs community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Son: Shawn Sprague, of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Brothers: Andy, Colin and Garry Sprague, all of California; and 4 Sisters: Beverly Cano, Trisha Sprague, Alta Morano, and Karen Parker, all of California. 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild also survive.
