John Smallwood

John Smallwood was born May 4, 2000, in Nashville, TN and he passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 22.

He was the son of Jeffrey Smallwood and the late Jonnie Clauden Murphy Smallwood. He was a member of the ROTC of Cookeville High School, and faithfully attended First Pentecostal Church in Cookeville. He was also a big Jaguars and L.A. Lakers fan.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Bill and Ora Smallwood and Fred and Tina Murphy; and various uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Survivors include his Father: Jeffrey Smallwood of Cookeville, TN; Step Mother: Michelle Smallwood and Brother: Joseph (Ivy) Smallwood of Cookeville, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bishop Ron Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips Cemetery in Overton County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
