Funeral services for Mr. John Robert Lamons, 72, of Nashville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, December 19, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Sam Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Highway in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Lamons passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008. He was born July 17, 1936, in Nashville, TN, to the late Charles King and Margaret Anglea Lamons. He was married to Diana Flatt Lamons, who survives. He worked in the insurance industry for 35 years, and was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School and Tennessee Tech University. He also served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Beverly Adams. Survivors include his Wife: Diana Flatt Lamons of Nashville, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Charles Jeffery (Christine Miller) Lamons of Richmond, VA; and 1 Grandson: John Michael Lamons of Richmond, VA.
