John Frank Pruett

Funeral services for Mr. John Frank Pruett, 93, of Granville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynn's Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. until 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Providence Place of Mt. Juliet, TN. He was born September 23, 1917, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Benton McMillin and Lillie Jane Clark Pruett. On August 8, 1937, he was married to the late Nellie Harris Pruett, who passed away May 25, 1998. He was a retired farmer and school bus operator. He was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ in Granville, where he served as an elder for a number of years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife: Nellie Harris Pruett; 2 Sisters: Catherine Flatt and Mary Lou Locke; and 2 Brothers: Odas Clark Pruett and Benton Finis Pruett. Survivors include 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Frankie Ruth and Robert Edward (Ted) Fox of Mt. Juliet, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Bob. G. and Mary Camp Pruett of Granville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Tina Fox Bowling and husband, Tony, of Franklin, TN; Sheri Fox Wright and husband, Mark, of Smyrna, TN; Vicki Leigh Pruett of Houston, TX; and Jennifer Pruett Rhea and husband, Bob, of Granville, TN; 4 Great Grandchildren: Matthew Bowling, Kayla Bowling, Joshua Wright, and Rachel Wright; and 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Bill and Pat Pruett of Knoxville, TN. Bro. Larry Acuff and Bro. Roy Johnson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richmond Cemetery, Happy Haven Home, or the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund by contacting the funeral home.
