Joe Frank Kemp

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Frank Kemp, age 73, a resident of Byrdstown, TN, and formerly of Jackson County, will be held Friday, May 9, 2008, at 11 A.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 7 P.M., and on Friday from 10 A.M until the time of services. Mr. Kemp passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1934, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Fred L. Kemp and Pauline Keith Kemp. He was married to the late Margie Jackson Kemp, who passed away April 24, 1976. He was retired from Farmers Home Administration, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Karen & Bret Holladay of Montgomery, AL, and Patty & Stan Agee of Carthage, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Jessica (Javin) Cripps, Katie and Erin Agee, and Hannah Holladay; 1 Great Grandchild: Adalyn Jo Cripps; 2 Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Ward & Lanita Kemp of the North Springs Community of Jackson Co. and Kenneth & Louise Kemp of Greensboro, NC; and 1 Sister: Peggy Dycus of Madison, TN. Bro. Edward L. Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Strode-Keith Cemetery Fund by contacting A-UCFH.
