Joe F. Scantland

Joe F. Scantland was born October 15, 1940 in Gainesboro, TN and he passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 80. He was the son of William and Ora Hix Scantland. Mr. Scantland was a resident of the Burristown Community. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lawton, Eston, Elbert, Tim and Lando Scantland and sisters, Louise Barlow, Ina Poston and Dorothy Stewart. Survivors include his wife, Edna Scantland, son, Fred Scantland, daughter, Teresa Naff, sisters Martha Flynn and Betty Hix. 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1 PM at Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown Community. Bro. Kenneth Anderson will officiate the service. There will not be any visitation or services at the funeral home. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1 pm on Tuesday.
