Funeral services for Mr. Joe Earl Allen, 67, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Monday, May 4, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Allen passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at his residence. He was born February 7, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Cecil and Clora Pippin Allen. On October 29, 1962, he was married to the late Linda Faye Allen, who passed away December 29, 2008. He was in the auto parts industry, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: James "Wack" Allen, Charles Paul "Niff" Allen, and Junior Allen; and 1 Sister: Georgia Allen Survivors include 3 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Gary (Karen) Allen, Kenny (Tammy) Allen, and James "Bo" (Shannon) Allen, all of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Pamela (Steve) Trisdale of Baxter, TN, and Tammy Richardson of Cookeville, TN; 11 Grandchildren: Lacy Trisdale; Clint, Samantha, and Sonya Allen; Hayley Trisdale; Kayla, Brayden, and Bryson Allen; Jesse Richardson; Mason and Noah Richardson; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kenan Allen and Tommy Trisdale; 2 Brothers: Dale Allen of Cookeville, TN and Elmer (Deborah Jean) Allen of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Jane (Ralph) Herald of Silver Point, TN, and Gladys Taylor of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Pastor Ron Phillips will officiate at the services.
