Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Helen Hammock, 74, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M., Tuesday from 10 A.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Hammock passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born September 28, 1933, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Sam and Hallie Stafford. She was married to the late P.J. Hammock, who passed away May 17, 1992. She was a nurse's aide at the former Cookeville Nursing Home, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Sam Dowell Stafford, Jr.; and 1 Sister: May Mayberry. Survivors include 3 Sons and Daughters-in-law: Donnie R. (Kathy) Hammock of Cookeville, TN, Ronnie (Shelia) Hammock of Baxter, TN, and Mark (Shelia) Hammock of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Betty (Albert) Brown of Gainesboro, TN, and Kathy (Lloyd) Phillips of Cookeville, TN; 4 Brothers: George Stafford of Bloomington Springs, TN, Jack Stafford of the Highland community of Jackson County, Paul Stafford of Gainesboro, TN, and Daniel Stafford of Baxter, TN; 4 Sisters: Bonnie Phann of Baxter, TN, Frankie Keith of Nashville, TN, Janie Uhles of Gainesboro, TN, and Sarah Harp of Baxter, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Tracy, Jessica, Vanessa, Stephanie, Travis, and Kellie Hammock, Terry Brown, and Renea Burris; and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
