Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Ray Raines, 49, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 22, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 - 9 P.M., and on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Raines passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born May 30, 1957, in Jackson County, TN, to Willene Pippin Raines and the late Joe W. Raines. Mr. Raines worked in the logging industry. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Billy Raines; 1 Niece: Kelly M. Raines; and 1 Nephew: Bobby Joe Raines. Survivors include his mother: Willene Pippin Raines of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Steve Raines of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sisters: Jo Ann (Charles) Spurlock of Baxter, TN, Judy Phifer of Quebeck, TN, and Shirley Allen of Gainesboro, TN. 5 Nieces, 1 Nephew, other relatives, and friends also survive. .
