Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Joe Phann, 56, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, March 12, in the chapel of Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 - 9 P.M., Friday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Phann passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at his residence. He was born August 1, 1948, in Jackson County to Lucille Phann and the late Reggie Phann. In September, 1965, he was married to Kathy Jo Phann, who survives. Mr. Phann was the co-owner of J&J Auto Sales. He was affiliated with the Baptist church, and was a 7-term alderman for the town of Gainesboro. Mr. Phann also served on the Gainesboro Planning Commission. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Brenda Sue Heady; his Maternal Grandparents: Amos and Katie Smith; and his Paternal Grandparents: Major and Julie Phann. Survivors include his wife: Kathy Jo Phann of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons and 1 Daughter-in-Law: Jeffery E. Phann of Gainesboro, TN, and Jimmy E. & Sherrie Phann of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Jackie & Wayne Harper of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Julie & Jason Holliman of Chattanooga, TN; his mother: Lucille Phann of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Jr. and Deborah Phann of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Faye & Dwane Head of Gainesboro, TN, and Joyce & Corbit Herd of Gainesboro, TN; and 4 Grandchildren: Zachary Phann, Kassidy Phann, Kailyn Phann, and Alexander Harper. Dr. Doug Dycus and Bro. Larry Brown will officiate at the services.
