Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy "Jim" Ford, 51, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at his residence. He was born October 18, 1962, in Harriman, TN, to Faye Ford and the late Harlan S. Ford. On August 10, 2002, he was married to Kathy Ford, who survives. He was a corrections officer with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 1 Infant Brother; his Father-in-Law: Logan Raines, Jr.; 1 Nephew: Brian Emerton; his Paternal Grandparents: Robert and Marie Dennis Ford; and his Maternal Grandparents: Leonard Hale and Betty Johnson. Survivors include his Wife: Kathy Ford of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Jaime (Jimmy) Henson, Jacqulyn Medlin, and Jennifer Pippin, all of Jackson County, TN; his Mother: Faye Ford of Cookeville, TN; his Mother-in-Law: Jewell Raines of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: John (Debbie) Ford of Sparta, TN; 2 Sisters: Kathy (Leon) Elrod of Baxter, TN, and Carolyn (Mark) Dishman of Cookeville, TN; 1 Sister-in-Law: Traci (Dustin) Raines of IN; 7 Grandchildren: Jessie and Jayda Henson, Jarred Medlin, Jaylon Pharris, Joseph Walton, Jaycie and Jett Phillips; and Special Baby: Juno. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Danny Hembree and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Ford family to apply to funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
