Jimmy Clay Stafford, 74, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time. He was born July 22, 1939, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Clifford Stafford and Lucy Stafford. He was married to the late Christine Stafford. He worked in furniture upholstery, and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Michael Stafford and Mark Stafford; 1 Sister: Lilly Stafford; and 2 Brothers: Joe Edward Stafford and Junior Ray Stafford. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Sherri McCormick of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Keisha (Jason) Harper of Gainesboro, TN, Kaylia (Chanse) Hopkins of Gainesboro, TN, Beth (Barry) Hammock of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Joshua Stafford; 2 Great Grandchildren: Khloe Harper and Brycen Hammock; 1 Brother: Hollis Lee Stafford of Cookeville, TN; and 5 Sisters: Juanita Brown, Phyllis Haney, Marie (Morte) Owens, and Karen (Kelly) Cassetty, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Kathy (Rex) Ledbetter of Cookeville, TN.
