Jimmie D. Swezea

Mr. Jimmie D. Swezea, 72, of Gainesboro, TN, passed away on November 8, 2019, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation, with a private memorial service at a later time. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. He was born March 10, 1947, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Beaman Dow Swezea and Georgia Golden Swezea. He worked as a machinist at Aeroquip, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He also served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Carmen (Jamie) Waggoner of Carthage, TN, and Casey (Justin) Moore of Cookeville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Noah Brown, Emma Brown, Allie Moore, & Jace Moore; 4 Step Grandchildren: Jacob Waggoner, Alex Waggoner, Kara Waggoner, and Kelsey Waggoner; the Mother of his Children: Frances Swezea of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Patricia Stone of Whitleyville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jackson County Veterans' Hall by contacting the funeral home.
